For Starters...
Recipes are strange creatures and people get very possessive about them, including me on occasion but jokingly. I use recipes. Of course I do and the internet has huge numbers of them. Ninety-nine times out of a hundred, I can't use them as they are because I don't have all the ingredients so I have to substitute and then they become mine. Or, I trawl through loads for the same thing and end up making an amalgam of the lot.
There's nothing new under the sun. I've seen lots about new flavour combinations and have tried a few myself - most of them are revolting, or at least sound revolting. If I do come up with anything, I'll let you know!
In the meantime, what I am trying to say that to the best of my knowledge, while they are not necessarily original, the recipes are my own take on those around. Some I have had in various notebooks for so long I have no idea where they came from, some are definitely mine having been concocted from what I had at the time and some are from the net - I won't put those on here; you can find them elsewhere.
Really, what my goal is to have all of the recipes I use gathered in one place and then, maybe, I'll be able to clear a couple of shelves of notebooks (it's unlikely though as there's always something else in there I want to hang on to) or at least store them away somewhere out of the way.
If you are looking at these, I promise they work. I've cooked them, sometimes many times. Most of them are for for four or six or an army! I'm not good at cooking for two and anyway, I like to have some left over for work the next day or frozen for another night. I get quite miffed if I do cook for two and there's nothing left.
It's not meant to be that serious, just a way of sharing...
